WHO WE ARE

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for motivated handball players of all ages, genders and nationalities who have a bit of prior experience. Our male league team needs more people, so any experienced male handball players out there would be a plus. If we can get enough interested female players we can potentially enter a league team with our girls too.
WHERE AND WHEN WE HAVE TRAINING
Main training:
Our main training session is every Wednesday evening close to Ostbahnhof. We train from 7.30 pm to 9 pm in the newly renovated and modern sports hall at Cajetanstrasse 33. The hall is ideal for handball and we are very happy to call it our home once a week, plus for potential matches on the weekend.
Extra training:
Our second hall is a smaller-sized hall in the Tagesheim Grundschule Pfeuferstrasse, where we meet every Monday from 8.30 pm to 10 pm. This hall is unfortunately not ideal for handball and training is restricted to a certain number of players.
Wednesdays (main training) | Städtischen Sportanlage St.-Cajetan-Straße 33, near Ostbahnhof | 7.30 pm - 9 pm | ||
Mondays (extra training) | Sportstätte Städt. Tagesheim an der Grundschule Pfeuferstrasse 1 | 8.30 pm - 10 pm |
OUR TRAINING VISION
We have two playing coaches who are working hard to create the best handball environment for us all. Since we have different levels of experience, the main focus is on learning more to become better handball players as a team, but also as individual players. Sometimes we split into two groups, to be able to train both basic- and higher-level skills at the same time.
Handball is a fun sport, and it is important to us that we have fun while learning.
OUR YEAR
We participate in an LGBTQ+ tournament every summer. The host city varies between different big cities in Europe, such as Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Budapest and Paris, to mention just a few. This trip is always one of the highlights throughout our year, and at these tournaments we meet our fellow LGBTQ+ handballers and friends from all over Europe. We are also open to spontanously join other tournaments as well if the time and place fit.
We have a dedicated social event team and outside the training hall we meet around 6 times a year for organized events such as hiking, bowling, the Oktoberfest, etc. Additionally we also have spontaneous pre-drinks and we go out clubbing together.
Team spirit is created not only by playing handball together; it is also important to meet outside the sports hall!
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a social and safe handball environment which everyone is welcome to join!
We cherish key values such as diversity, commitment, motivation and team spirit amongst others. Our two coaches have both played in top leagues and we offer structured and goal-oriented handball practice, with a focus on becoming better handball players. For our players it is important that we train with the aim of improving and that we have a fun time together playing handball. We can also offer a fun social time and bonding outside the training hall at tournaments and social events. Additionally, for interested male players, we can offer the opportunity to be a part of our league team with matches at the weekends.
